Symbolism
In Chakravyuh Prakash Jha has put his spotlight on the Indian Naxalite movement. Jha has used Mahabharata
to draw parallels with the Naxalite movement. In the same manner as the
righteous Pandavas were forced to fight against their own cousins, the
wicked Kauravas, so as to protect their rights in the epic Kurekshetra
War, the Naxalites have been forced to use violence against their own
countrymen in order to fight against abject poverty and relentless
exploitation. In Hindu Mythology, the word "Charkavyuha" is best related
to the the face-off that took place during the Battle of Kurekshetra
between Arjuna’s brave son Abhimanyu and a myriad of Kaurava warriors
during which the former was slain after being cornered in the
Chakravyuha formation designed by the Kaurava commander Drona. The
shameless incident is said be the turning point of the great battle, for
it finally brought the hitherto confused Arjuna on the right track, as
he fought with a renewed vigor in order to avenge the death of his
beloved son.
Critical reception
Upon release,Chakravyuh received positive to mixed reviews from critics.
The Times Of India gave 3.5 stars out of 5. Accoring to TOI,
"Chakravyuh is a hard film to make and marks must be given to Jha for
sticking his neck out. Staying true to the subject, he gives us an
insight into uncomfortable truths unfolding in our backyard. He is one
of the few filmmakers with such audacious work to his credit." Subhash K. Jha of Indo-Asian News Service gave the movie 4/5 stars and called it a "resolutely etched, firmly grounded drama".
Bikas Bhagat of Zeenews gave the movie 4/5 and wrote in their review,
"Here’s a fight which we have heard about and seen through the ages –
the fight between the Capitalists and the Communists. Prakash Jha
presents it in his own way; and going by illustrious line of work, it
would be a big mistake on your part if you happen to give ‘Chakravyuh’ a
miss."
Sukanya Verma of Rediff gave the movie 2.5/5 stars and wrote,
"Chakravyuh maintains an aggressive cinematic tone with sufficient stock
of blood and action to dole, but is nothing more than an average action
flick in the garb of relevant cinema". According to Hindustan times,Chakravyuh is, ultimately, a victim of typical Bollywood excesses and gave 2.5 out of 5 stars

Rob Miller of ReelSports, who had previously worked with SRK on Chak De
India, was hired to direct the sports action in the film. The film was
released on 19 October 2012 to mostly positive reviews from critics.
Plot
It is the story of Abhimanyu Singh (Sidharth Malhotra) and Rohan Nanda (Varun Dhawan) who traverse the path of competition, envy, triumph, failure, manipulation and heartbreak in their mini-universe of St. Teresa's High School, Dehradun.
Abhimanyu Singh a.k.a Abhi comes from a middle-class family and wants
to achieve great heights of success and prosperity, the first step to
which will be the Student of the Year trophy while Rohan Nanda a.k.a Ro,
is the son of a business tycoon who grapples with a complex
relationship with his father and knows that winning the Student Of the
Year trophy will bag him the approval that he subconsciously craves for.
When the two protagonists with distinct backgrounds and clear goals
clash with each other in the locker room, football field and the
canteen, there is no question in anyone's mind that the preset equations
of the St. Teresa's campus were about to change.
When Abhi and Rohan's rivalry takes an unexpected turn to friendship,
neither pre-empts the complications that would brew. Things are further
knotted up when Shanaya Singhania (Alia Bhatt),
the most popular girl on the campus enters the equation. While Shanaya
and Rohan are childhood sweethearts, Abhi's attraction for his best
friend's girlfriend and Shanaya's quiet reciprocation causes a rift in
their friendship that would have a long lasting impact. Looming large
over the various friendships in the campus is the Student Of The year
trophy and Dean Yogendra Vasisht's (Rishi Kapoor)
emphasis on success and victory. Towards the end of the term, the
foes-turned-friends-turned foes, Abhi and Rohan, are ready for a
face-off and battle lines are drawn through the length and breadth of
the campus, with only one goal in everyone's eyes - Student Of The Year
Trophy. As new ambitions are born and old loyalties fall by the wayside,
each segment of the Student Of The Year competition manages to tear
apart both, the participants and the spectators, to redefine the choices
of the three protagonists.

Critical reception
Student Of The Year received positive reviews from critics.
Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the film 4/5 stars, saying that "Student Of The Year is a love story that traverses the trodden path. But KJo
is an artisan with intellect and taste and he ensures that the script
is spruced up and modernized with such elan that it doesn't offend the
spectator's wisdom or intelligence. The accomplished director takes on
familiar material and gives it an entirely new twirl. This is escapist
cinema at its best! On the whole, Student Of The Year is amongst
Karan Johar's most accomplished works. The youth brigade would love it
and those who have already past that age would want to revisit those
days. This one's entertainment, entertainment and entertainment at its
best. Clearly, KJo has a winner on hands, yet again!" Madhureeta Mukherjee of The Times of India gave the film 3.5/5 stars, stating that "Student Of The Year
takes you back to your books and sinks you in true-blue Bollywood
syllabus, following the 'formula' - Two boys, one girl, one glorious
trophy and lots of testosterone. It is larger-than-life, colorful,
lavish, beautifully shot and directed. With medleys, dance, drama and
everything good-looking (from cast to couches, dorms to discos)." Rajeev Masand of IBNLive
gave it 3 out of 5 stars and wrote, "Nitpickings aside, this is a
breezy, enjoyable film by a director who knows his craft." He remarked,
"If fun is what you’re seeking, you won't be disappointed." Giving the film 3 out of 5 stars, Anupama Chopra of Hindustan Times
wrote, "Karan Johar's forte is excess. He creates fantastical worlds
brimming with beautiful people and expensive things and yet anchors them
in high emotion. His films work as both designer porn and soap opera.

Bhoot Returns(English: Ghost Returns) is a Bollywood3Dhorror filmdirected byRam Gopal Varmaand written by Ravi Shankar. Produced by Jitendra Jain of Alumbra Entertainment, the film is presented byEros Internationalgroup.
The film starsManisha Koirala,J. D. Chakravarthy,Madhu Shaliniand Alayana Sharma in the lead roles. The film is a sequel to the 2003 filmBhootdirected by Varma himself.[1].It is scheduled for the theatrical release on 12th October, 2012.
With the film Bhoot, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) introduced a new age horror genre to Indian cinema. The film was a huge hit. And, now, RGV is all set with the sequel Bhoot Returns and presents the first look of the film. The filmmaker is also touted to be countering Raaz 3 with his film since Vikram Bhatt's film too falls under the same genre.
Title row
Earlier, a titleBhoot 2was registered by producer Nitin Manmohan’s company because at that time Nitin and RGV were together. Owing to their parting, producer Nitin Manmohan, a year back announcedBhoot 2withVikram Bhattas the director.
But when Vikram got to know that it was not done with RGV’s consent he backed out. As the title Bhoot 2 was registered with Nitin Manmohan the new producers of the sequel Alumbra Entertainment andEros Internationalrepeatedly requested Nitin Manmohan to part with the title citing the original creator was RGV.
“The producers repeatedly requested Nitin Manmohan to give the copyright of the title. But he in a petty minded nature due to his previous tussle with RGV, delayed the process,” says a source close to the producers. RGV decided to end this chase for the title and changed the title of his film from Bhoot 2 to Bhoot Returns.
The film stars actress Madhu Shalini, Manisha Koirala and JD Chakravarthy and Eros International will release the film worldwide on October 12. Bhoot Returns is RGV’s first 3D film. The film will also release in Tamil and Telugu.
